At B & B Gates & Supply Inc, our dedicated team is the backbone of our success.

Through dedication and hard work, we’ve grown and adapted to meet the specific needs of our customers, and our team has been integral to this journey.

Barry Pollema

GENERAL MANAGER

Barry is CEO and owner of B & B Gates & Supply. What Barry started in an unheated dirt floor shop on his yard in 1996, grew into the tri-state’s premier gating specialist and so much more. He had a vision for growing his business and providing good jobs that support families in the surrounding communities which continues today. He also remains focused on helping customers whether they are in the agricultural or industrial sectors. Barry enjoys raising foals with his wife Patty. He also enjoys the hunt for various species of animals to display in the pasture adjacent to the B & B shop. Besides stopping at our retail shop for ag products, that also would make a trip to B & B worthwhile!

Peter Brummel

HOG Department Manager

Peter grew up one of the middle children in a family of 12. He has over 25 years of experience working in the hog industry. Since joining the B & B Gates & Supply Inc. team in 2012 his role as Swine Equipment Manager has also evolved into duties of Chief Operations Officer. If you need a customized plan for your hog operation whether new construction or remodel, Peter is ready to make your gate and equipment layout work for you. When not working you can find him enjoying country life with his wife Keisha, kids, and dogs. His most recent hobby is bow fishing.

Darrin Brummel

FABRICATION MANAGER

Darrin grew up in Northwest Iowa with lots of siblings and plenty of space and opportunities to figure out how things work and fit together. He came on board B & B Gates & Supply Inc. with 15 years of fabrication experience. He has been integral in refining our manufacturing processes by adding laser cutting, forming with computerized hydraulic press break, and robotic welding. He is a great family man to his 6 children and lovely wife Ashley. They enjoy camping and outdoor life.

Jesse Pollema

CATTLE department manager

Jesse was raised surrounded with metal working and livestock. His job while attending High School was welding cattle gates for his dad Barry. As Cattle Equipment Manufacturing Manager he is innovative in designing cattle working facilities. He will customize each project to fit the exact needs of the individual farmer. One of his side activities is feeding cattle with his 3 kids in tow. He and his wife Michelle enjoy farm life with their kids and dogs Willy and Hank.

Trai Cleveringa

PARTS MANAGER

Trai brings youthful enthusiasm to our Parts Counter. Originally hired in the role of welder in the manufacturing and installation team, Trai has gained essential knowledge of hog equipment. When you walk in the door Trai is ready to help no matter what your need is. He enjoys many sports, and spending time with his wife Madi.

Evan Brummel

Head of Growth and Development

Evan has been a valued member of the B&B family for three years, bringing over 25 years of expertise in agriculture. If you have questions about the business, Evan is your go-to resource to get things moving. Outside of work, he loves fishing with his wife, having the house fulll of his kids, and spending time with his grandson.

Ken Fuller

HOG BARN SERVICE MANAGER

Ken came aboard our B & B team in 2021 to establish a hog barn service department. Since he has started our service department has grown to include 2 more hog service technicians. As Service Department Manager his experience has been valuable as he has seen about every issue you can think of! Ken and his wife Sharon are currently building a Shouse with their 2 daughters. Recently Ken added the title Grandpa to his roles in life.

Sandi Breur

office manager

Sandi is the accountant at B&B Gates & Supply and has been a valued member of the team for five years. With more than 15 years of accounting experince, she is the go-to person for any questions regarding billing or accounts. Outside of work, Sandi enjoys spending time with her family and riding through the countryside on her ranger with her husband and daughter.
